SSI Try Scuba® Diving
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater?
If you want to find out but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, this couple of hours experience will let you try scuba to see if you like it. SCUBA MORAIRA offers you a chance to try Scuba Diving in the sea. You will start with a short safety briefing with your SSI instructor, and then it will be time to gear up and go diving…
While not an actual scuba certification, during the Try Scuba Diving experience you’ll learn how to use scuba equipment in shallow water and get a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.

You are about to embark in one of the greatest adventures of your life because there is nothing like breathing underwater for the very first time. It takes a little getting used to but after a few minutes of awestruck wonder, most participants realise how easy scuba diving really is. The fun part? It’s all fun! Plus, as our Try Scuba Diving program includes an actual scuba dive in open water, you will be one step ahead of the game when you decide to go for it and take the SSI Open Water Diver Course.
You learn the basics you need to dive under the direct supervision of a SSI Professional. One thing you’ll learn is that you really can breathe underwater in addition to:
• Learn what wearing scuba equipment feels like and how easy it is to move around underwater while wearing it
• Find out what it’s like to breathe underwater in the sea and learn whether you can be comfortable there
• Learn some basic skills and safety rules that will carry over to your full scuba certification course when you take the next step
All the equipment you will need is included in a Try Scuba experience. You’ll use all the basic scuba gear including a mask and snorkel, fins, a wetsuit, a buoyancy compensating jacket (BC) that carries your weights and scuba tank, a scuba regulator to breathe from and instrumentation to monitor depth and air supply.
€75 / 3 Hours
To participate in the SSI Try Scuba Program you must be at least 12 years old. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you need to be in reasonable physical health and be able to swim.
